Vesicular Trafficking and Stress Response Coupled to PI3K Inhibition by LY294002 as Revealed by Proteomic and Cell Biological Analysis

LY294002 is a synthetic quercetin-like compound, which inhibits endocytosis and vacuolar transport. Unlike wortmannin, it is more specific inhibitor of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K). In our recently published study, we report on the proteome-wide and cell biological aspects of LY294002 effects on Arabidopsis roots. We provide new insight into storage protein processing and possible regulation of antioxidant enzyme machinery by PI3K-dependent signalling in Arabidopsis roots. [read more]
